Brendan McIntyre

 Brendan McIntyre studied Illustration at Griffith University, Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia. After completion of his degree he moved to Germany where he taught English whilst pursuing his love for illustration. During this period Brendan’s skills were predominantly influenced by the beautiful historic architecture and the vibrant cultural life, which built on to his already well developed repertoire as an illustrator of the natural world.

Brendan has illustrated and published his work in diverse fields ranging from educational software, children’s illustration to illustrated city maps. He has held exhibitions of paintings in his homeland and Germany. Brendan has a whimsical drawing style communicating playful narratives. His intimate understanding of the natural world and experience in exploring it with children, via his work at the London Wildlife Trust, largely informs his work.
