Vicky Scott

Vicky was born in 1982, and graduated from the University of Brighton in 2004 with a BA in Illustration. Her work has been widely published, and in 2009 she was selected to be one of the contributing artists in the 2010 Elephant Parade (a conservation campaign aimed at raising awareness about the plight of the Asian elephant; artists’ designs – painted onto models of baby elephants – are displayed around Central London and later sold at auction).

Vicky’s bold, colourful work has a nostalgic quality with a fun, modern twist and she draws her inspiration from the natural world, fashion, the 1920s, 1960s psychedelic posters and fairytales. She uses a variety of materials including coloured card, paint and fabric to create images with a distinct narrative and enjoys the thought that her work brightens up someone’s day.
